equineIQ is a new company that focuses on developing computer software for horse owners and horse businesses. Our current website can be seen at http://www.equineIQ.com. The majority of horse owners are female. Many people are involved in the horse industry for the rewarding and enjoyable lifestyle.
A few notes about our preferences for the website:
- Horse owners enjoy their horses and like to see pictures of horses, so the website should include pictures. These pictures should include horses with minimal extra accessories on the horse. People may be included if the clothing is generic (i.e. no cowboy hats, helmets, jackets)
- The website should links to these areas: Home, Solutions, Jobs, About, News, Contact
- There will not be a lot of content on the website, so this design will be a higlight of the website.
- We want to avoid too much western (tooled leather, spurs, cows, etc) or old fashioned look
We would like to see photos of horses. If you use stock photography, please ensure you have the proper license. If you use a sample stock photo (such as from iStockPhoto), we can purchase the license for the photo if your design is chosen. The guidelines for all photos are the same as above. We like pictures that show people (mainly women or couples or families) enjoying spending time with their horse/horses.
As far as style, we like a modern Web 2.0ish look (gradients, clean lines, etc) such as mentioned in http://www.webdesignfromscratch.com…-guide.cfm and http://smashingmagazine.com/2006/12…ns-in-2006 . We don't want to look too techy but we do like the clean and sharp look of these type of sites.
