brett.wilson got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Need fresh, single-page-look for tech company Sixtree. Existing style guide.

Our customers are generally large companies with the key target audience being executive IT level decision makers (eg CIO). It is vital that this website gives this audience the impression that our business is established, mature, confident, reliable and leaders in our field. Ultimately it must give this audience confidence to do business with us - a ‘tick of approval’. We expect the Blog content to be the main driver of traffic to the website. Keyword search results will bring people directly to Blog entries and hence will often be the gateway in to our site. The Blog will also be the main content holder (in addition to home) regarding our products and services (as opposed to a traditional ‘what we do’).
Sixtree Visual Identity Guidelines except we are happy to change the fonts (we don’t like Automate). Otherwise we are happy with the style in these guidelines. - see attached file. We think the 'style' of our current website is nice but a bit too 'feature heavy' - ie there’s too many features, gimmicks and layers that are either distracting or don't get used.
1. Home with banners highlighting key company messages (eg. traditional scrolling). This needs to be the main page that supports the content at http://jetstrap.io/share/2fc106c40b 2. Blog - standard features plus must support ability to provide ‘code samples’ 3. About - company story and Team Profiles 4. Contact - Melbourne, Sydney Addresses plus Contact Form 5. Generic content page for deeply linked content - eg for content like http://www.sixtree.com.au/collections/xero-connector
What to avoid
sidebars (eg for navigation). excessive use of light fonts on dark backgrounds. search bar. drop down menus (avoid all 2nd level menus). avoid excessive dead space in Blog - current site uses 50% of the height before content entry starts and only 40% available width.
we plan to implement using a static site generator
