Very good quality work and helped us work through the job with their own ideas.

Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Newaya buys used cellphones from people around the USA. Our online trade-in program makes it easy to get a quote on your phone's value. Then we provide a free shipping label for you to mail the phone in to us with.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
Our new homepage needs to be simple and straightforward. Single-purpose. I imagine it similar to Google's front page. Finding a quote of your phone's value should be the primary call-to-action. Maybe with basic testimonials and a how-it-works diagram below.
Most of the material that I've designed (poorly) for us has been inspired by Bootstrap or Google's Material Design. I'd like to keep the layout and basic styles of the design we have, but with the honed organization, structure, and design philosophy from a trained creative (you!).
I like both cartoon-y software-as-a-service websites (like scout/statuspage linked below), and sites with beautiful stock imagery that have call-to-action buttons laid over the images in translucent, flat colors (like icracked or square linked below). Not sure which would be better for our home page, but I'm excited to see your interpretations!
Please use the phone/tablet flat icons we had designed that are attached to the project.
Homepage with step-by-step quote form. I've attached the flat phone/tablet icons we want to use as buttons when users choose their device.
About page with a meet-the-team section and a how-it-works diagram for our mail-in procedure.
Customers page with testimonials.
What to avoid
Nothing comes to mind.
Newaya started in 2010. Our logo and original WordPress theme was designed back then by friends and contractors. We still love the logo but we're ready to redesign and rebuild our consumer-facing website on Ruby on Rails.
Last year we built our own internal website on the sub-domain portal.newaya.com using a Bootstrap theme and components (since we're horrendous designers). We'd like to maintain the same color schemes and basic layout, but we need your creative input on how to update the design to a professional 2016 service from a software-savvy company.
