How sandeepc started their web page design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We design and build custom equipment for manufacturing. Our six services include design/build of custom fixtures, proof-of-concept machines, fully automated systems, precision CNC machining, build-to-print and contract manufacturing.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
I like a very modern and clean website that does not use lots of colors. We have three colors in our logo and I'd like to limit the site to those colors (and possibly add white color to that). I have pictures of some of our work and some stock photos selected. I will need to select some more pictures. I'd like the website to be easy to navigate. The questions that our clients normally ask is: (i) what do you do, (ii) who have you done it for, (iii) what have you done that is relevant to what I'm looking for (iv) do you have a quality management/process control systems (v) do you have references/testimonials, (vi) how big is your team. I'd like to minimize scrolling as most visitors are on mobile devices. I'd advise keeping the "about us" and "team" sections off the front page to serve the purpose of the reduced scrolling.
I'd like to have a home page (focused on offering benefits) that is light on content and then individual products/services page that is search engine optimized. The home page should be engaging enough that the visitor wants to look at other pages of the site. There should be call-to-action at appropriate places...such as "request a quote", "Schedule a consultation" and "Ask a Question"
What to avoid
Exclude complexity...I'd like the site to be reasonably simple.
