After reading over an excerpt of the author's book on his website, www.booksbysean.com, I was inspired to create a design that is leaned onto action movie poster art because it had a nice fast pace and already lots of action going on, but I still wanted of course to reflect the fantasy content of the book. Incorporating important elements of his story, I aimed to offer a glimpse into the world inside the book and set the mood.
