Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
I am a Certified Financial Planner. I work with mass affluent (typically net worth 500K-4 million) pre-retirees and retirees to help them organize and plan for a confident retirement experience. My clients tend to work for major utility and energy companies, and federal agencies. We have a defined process to help guide our clients through that process, and a niche and depth of knowledge in their complex retirement and benefit packages. We help organize and plan in virtually every area of their finances. We start with understanding their values, dreams and goals. These are the focus, and their finances and money are simply the tools that help them accomplish those goals, and sustain their values. planning includes retirement projections and income planning, estate and legacy planning, risk management and insurance, budget and cash flow, tax strategies and planning, and coordinating all of these with their existing advisors.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
I am in the process of re branding my financial planning practice from an ensemble of 3 partners, to my own firm. We have an existing brochure that was a six panel, 3 fold brochure that i can provide as a starting point for information and background, as well as a current bio. I am open to the design and layout for the new brochure. I want it to demonstrate our value proposition, and briefly describe the process we go through. I want an additional piece to go with it that will provide a more detailed description of out 7 step planning process, but can also be used as a standalone. The deliverable needs to be print ready, and also in pdf form for electronic distribution. I have included a recent magazine we publish as an example and flavor of what we do. While I am open to your ideas, I am not interested in an 8.5x11 trifold - I want an interesting layout that will make you want to pick it up and see what it is. More modern is fine, edgy is not (conservative people want stability and trust engendered in the message)
The other two partners will not be part of the new firm, so I don't want any photos to feature them in the brochure. Any reference to financial strategies institute needs to be changed to Thom K. Hall Financial Group.
The seven step planning process must be incorporated, although I foresee that as a separate piece the same size that could be inserted. The name of the process needs to be changed from 'FSI Retirement Advantage' to 'The Confident Retirement Blueprint (TM)'
Looking for larger format - 6-8 total panels (6 panel in one piece and a two sided companion piece for the 7 step planning process would work well). I am open to dimension suggestions.
my clients are the millionaire next door - very down to earth, typically conservative, religious, and patriotic. They have worked hard at the same employer often for 30 years or more. They appreciate consistency, and I have a high level of trust with them, and a personal relationship with my clients. I like them and they like me. They are usually referred from an existing client, and often from the same company. My job is to gain their trust, understand what is most important to them, and design a plan that help to clearly understand their complex options, and move forward to make decisions confidently. I have additional photos shared via google docs
I have added additional documentation of our process that needs to be incorporated into the brochure, and will add some flavor to how we work. Feel free to email me if you want additional clarification. by the way - had a couple requests for location etc - just go to thomkhall.com
