How Crawfordsmobile started their postcard, flyer or print journey
Who are you known as?
Fix-IT Mobile Computer Service
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We fix computers in customers home or business. We go to them, they do not bring their computers to our workshop.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
This will be an ad to be printed in the Canberra YELLOW PAGES phone book for 2014. Colours in this publication are not very vivid and there are a lot of guidelines to be followed when designing the ad that need to be followed. See the attached yellow pages advertising PDF for more details.
I have another business doing the same service in a different name but I want this one to look completely different from my other one - the other one is crawford's mobile computer service.
I have no idea what sort of design I want so you will have to submit some ideas for me to see before I can provide more guidance on this.
NOTE: This ad is going to be in FULL PROCESS COLOR, not SPOT or KNOCKOUT. Address to be displayed will be "MITCHELL". Phone number to be used will be changed just before publication but should be set as "0434 286 995" for your version of this ad. I want to emphasis experience, quality work, reliability, same day appointments available, These are some points but you do not need to word them exactly as I have shown here or include them in the ad if you can not do it effectively as the space is limited. Keep the final size in mind and do not try and include too much detail or too many words in the ad.
The ad to be designed is going to be a SIZE 2 which will be 82.9mm wide and 55.0mm high. Use up every bit of space right to the edgs - no color bleed should be included, just crop marks and preferably a sharp border - perhaps black, 0.5pt. PLEASE NOTE: The ad can contain white areas but the pages are completely yellow to begin with so the white areas are created by NOT printing yellow on this part of the page. If yellow areas are being used, remember that the light amount of ink used means that it could show through light shades of colour. Please look at your local yellow pages if you have one to see what I am referring to as to colour etc.
