Kerry.weir got their new app design by running a design contest:
Design the app, then the logo, icon & website!
Check out Kerry.weir's App design contest…
App is a business grade VoIP/SIP client which allows the user to make audio and video calls of good quality over 3G/LTE & WiFi. It also has IM, Integrated contacts, call transfer, waiting, recording, conferencing etc. We are offering a one-stop solution and providing the VoIP gateway and auto-provisioning so the user does not have to have any knowledge of the product, or spend time setting it up.
We are looking for something very clean and crisp and professional, yet also modern and cutting edge with the latest design trends for apps and websites. We don't have colours in mind and are actually designing the logo and icon AFTER the app, as we want the design of the app to be the most important aspect. We are restricted by the fact it is a rebrand and only have certain aspects to play with.
We are looking for iPhone design first and then there are some changes to the file sizes for Android and iPhone 5, which we will pay a nominal fee for, in addition to this contest - as it is just changing file sizes. Please bear in mind that the background image is the same on all the screens attached. So the image placement (if one) has to take this into consideration, as it has to fit the keypad background, call in progress, favourites/quickdial and SMS background. If you wish to use elements of a potential logo image or icon, then please do as we expect that the person who designs this will also design the logo, icon and website. The icons under the keypad are 1. Add Contact 2. Voicemail 3. GSM/Cellular call 4. Sip/VoIP call 5. Backspace/delete - to delete a number when dialling from the keypad, if misdial.
What to avoid
It shouldn't exclude any age groups. It is a business grade product and is pitched to be the Viber or Skype for professionals.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. App design starts at CHF 619.
