We are a custom Audio Video design and installation company specializing in home theaters and integrated home technology. While we mostly work in homes we also provide services for small businesses and houses of worship. Our primary work includes designing, selling, and installing home theaters, media rooms, distributed audio/video, and whole home systems integration. We blend the lines between many industries including Architecture, Interior Decoration, Home Furnishing, Entertainment, Computers, and Technology.
Logo types to explore
We are re-branding our company since we no longer do shipboard audio video systems and are concentrating solely on the land based home and commercial markets. Our previous company logo and information about our business can be found here: http://www.ultramarineAV.com. We would like the logo to speak to the quality of attention to detail and love we put in every job... as we view each job as a commissioned work of art. Some possible thematic concepts to explore: * Stylized shapes and possibly images (though that may not transfer well on different types of media) that thematically speak to audio and video, and homes For example: - Screens (TV or projection) - Projection light beams - Speakers (or more accurately the conical shape of a traditional speaker cone) - Possibly silhouettes of people watching a movie (not sure how that would work.. but figured I'd throw that out there... you never know...) * Abstracts that thematically speak to audio and video For example: - Sign waves - Sound waves (often depicted as curved lines propagating out from a source) - musical notes (although it is kind of easy to get cheesy with this) * Stylized "AV" - In a memorable and attractive way but ensuring that it doesn't obstruct your ability to read the letters. - NOTE: It absolutely must be easy to identify as an "AV" to even a casual observer. * A simple style is preferred as it more easily grabs your attention and holds in your memory... and can be reproduced on many types of media (print, electronic, and possibly even a 3D model.* Lower case font is preferable to upper case for the "ultra" and "arts" part of the name. I won't completely rule out an upper case font, but I'm leaning hard towards lower case as it looks better in a non-stylized font presentation, allowing the AV to stand apart even in plain text. Our greatest asset comes not from our skills or expertise but our desire to improve the world in which we all live. We strive to find solutions to meet our clients’ needs, desires, and budgets. Helping others also ultimately helps ourselves. The happiest people are often those who do the most to help others. Everyone deserves respect, love, and help. 2) Solve Problems - Solving problems is the spice of life. The custom design process is about discovering new ways to achieve our client’s goals and rising to unique challenges with innovative and exacting solutions. Through ongoing training, certification, research and collaboration with peers we hone the tools of our trade. Every application is different, with the unique demands of our client’s desires, environment, and budget. By working in concert with clients and other design professionals and applying the latest tools, techniques, and methodologies at our disposal we achieve creative solutions for each individual situation. 3) Create and Enjoy Art - Art and beauty are essential elements of a fulfilled life. Whether through physical creations, performance art, or visual and auditory representations of reality, artists strive to create and enhance a fertile environment for an appreciation of beauty. Our projects aren’t just a job. Each client commissions us to make a functional work of art for them. Each is a new opportunity to leave a lasting impression on our client’s lives and the world. It’s why we firmly believe that “good enough”… isn’t. We take pride in the product of our creativity and ingenuity. 4) Have Fun - Having fun allows us to be our best. We were all supposed to have fun as kids as it helped us learn and grow… but, truly, that should never stop. Let’s reclaim fun! Fun need not be narrow or selfish. It’s fun to help people, solve problems, and create art. It’s fun to play games and sports and to challenge ourselves. It’s fun to enjoy the world we share and share the world we enjoy. A healthy dose of fun feeds our passion for life. Note: “Make lots of money” isn’t on the list as part of the “core.” This is on purpose. Making money is not a core goal of ours in and of itself. When we strive for our goals rewards (including money) will follow. Is it important to make money? Yes. Sure, lots of it can be great too.... But money is just a tool - a tool to help us achieve our goals. Money alone won’t make us fulfilled… achieving our mission goals will.
