pst418 got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Tongue in cheek logo for making infrastructure automation boring
Check out pst418's Logo design contest…
Kubestack will provide open source tools for cloud infrastructure automation. Main users are highly technical like software engineers and system administrators.
Other color requirements
This is the currently used color scheme for reference. But it's not mandatory to use. $dark: #313732; $blue: #8aa8b0; $grey: #dedede; $white: #ffffff; $orange: #f26101;
The name Kubestack is a reference to the open source software called Kubernetes and the fact that our project touches various parts of the software stack around Kubernetes. We find the idea of stacked cubes in the logo a decent start. We would like to avoid the maritime theme, because this is heavily overused in the Kubernetes community already. We would prefer the logo to have a industrial, technical, infrastructure look. Attached SVG tries to explain the stacked cube idea. But feel free to ignore.
