Lokuma, Zulu language for "Benchmark", provides executive and board of directors compensation information to publicly traded companies. Our target audience are Chief Financial Officers, Compensation Committees, Boards of Directors and other executives -- a very serious and sophisticated audience.

Lokuma takes a benchmark company and then compares the benchmark company to peer companies -- at our heart we are making an "apples-to-apples" comparison of data; therefore we are interested in the idea of an apple as a logo concept but obviously have to steer clear of being too similar to or upsetting the folks in Cupertino. In addition to the apple concept we are also interested in some sort of graphical representation of the idea of "benchmarking" or "comparing" information (i.e. data). A third and final concept of interest is taking advantage of the Zulu language association to extract something cool out of that cultural iconography. A common denominator to these three themes is a desired, modern, clean, and sophisticated aesthetic, with a dash of web 2.0 flavor to it but not too much as our target market is not terribly web savvy. We would be thrilled by a design vector that has a dash of san francisco hipster but with a Microsoft 365 design sense. THANK YOU!!!
