gober.mark got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Logo for the next scientific revolution - bigger than "earth isn't flat"

For now, do not incorporate. However I am debating whether I need this
This is a logo I will be using for my website which will host my podcast, possible blog posts, and information about my upcoming book. This logo will also be used as the cover photo for my podcast, possibly blog posts, possibly a twitter account, possibly Facebook and Instagram etc. So this is very important! The content of my website, book, podcast etc will be centered around the idea that the brain does NOT create the mind (consciousness). Rather, the brain is like an antenna that receives and transmits consciousness. So all of us have wizard-like psychic abilities, but we are simply not in tune with them. I'm wondering if the logo should have an open head with a brain popping out, and the head/brain is is wearing a wizard hat, where information is going to and from the brain. Almost like a TV antenna. Another related concept is that the mind/consciousness does not die when the physical body dies. The target audience is anyone interested in his or her existence. I want to appeal to all ages - both young and old generations. However, I would say that my "edge" is that I will be able to tap into younger generations whereas others have not been able to. That said, I want older generations to be my audience as well, and I have a feeling the topics around existence will resonate with older generations. I'm being asked to select an industry and I selected Technology because it is technically the closest industry...but really what my content is about is science and philosophy -- targeting any and all people.
It's hard for me to gauge whether the logo should have a tagline included. something like "Exploring consciousness and our untapped mental abilities" I'm thinking that will be too cluttered spatially. I could use the tagline on the website I'm developing and leave the logo just as "The Wizard of Mind" I mention this because if you think the tagline makes sense to include or looks good, I am open to seeing what it looks like. Thanks so much in advance
