Sigsafe is a digital signing key. Sigsafe makes Bitcoin secure and easy. Sigsafe is a new device for storing the keys (aka passwords) to your digital life in an ultra-secure but easy-to-use offline and unpowered device. At the same time that we are living more and more of our lives online, hackers and malware are becoming increasingly sophisticated. We can no longer trust storing our most valuable keys and passwords on complex devices, like computers and smartphones, that are connected to the Internet. Nowhere is this issue more prevalent than in the use of digital currencies, like Bitcoin, where coins are only as secure as the keys that control them. Sigsafe, a portmanteau of 'signature' and 'safe', stores these keys offline and performs all digital signing without ever exposing the key. However, it's still dead simple to use. For example, in the case of a mobile payment, simply compose a transaction for signing on your phone, and then tap the Sigsafe against the phone to authorize the payment with your digital signing key.

DON'T USE A PADLOCK TO AVOID CONFUSION WITH A COMPETING PRODUCT This device will store a digital password (a random string of letters and numbers - a key) in what is effectively a USB-sized super-secure safe or locker, one that you can carry around in your pocket or leave locked up in a safety deposit box. Some ideas we've had: - A key that seems "digital" somehow - A key inside a safe - A key inside a fist (to accentuate the fact that the device is small) - Some combination of the above tied in with the lettering of Sigsafe - In the logo, Sigsafe can be broken up if it helps, ie, Sig on top of safe, capitalization can be changed (e.g., sigsafe, Sigsafe, sigSafe), etc. Some logos that we like are: http://www.logogallery.net/ecobox http://www.logogallery.net/hate2wait http://www.logogallery.net/flyer-city We like the snappy/clever visual representation of the name, though we want to make sure it looks professional, not too immature.
