ExTEND is a research project at three german universities and various large companies that focuses on enhanced user participation in software implementation processes and on user-driven service design and innovation. The iterative research project aims to develop tools & methods to foster user participation and to unleash innovation potentials from a companies' internal crowd. Furthermore, the project aims for improvement of motivational, communicational, and organisational facettes of large corporations. The audience covers mainly companies that seek to improve internal innovation by strengthening users-responsibilities and their integration. Moreover, other research institutes and federal parties are also in the focus of ExTEND.
