Ballantyne Strong is a public company with divisions that deliver solutions and products to a wide range of markets. Our goal is to put a modern spin on the existing logo and provide consistency across some diverse business units or divisions of the company. I’d like to use the blue in the existing logo to maintain consistency but upgrade the font to provide a more contemporary feel.
Our current logo utilizes a globe pictoral mark and incorporates the formal name of the company: Ballantyne Strong. We’d like to continue utilizing a form of a globe to maintain a bridge to the current logo but would like to minimize the use of Ballantyne in the logo treatment. In all, we’re looking for three types of logos: Corporate, Solutions and Products.
For the corporate logo we’d use a pictoral mark and the words Ballantyne Strong (again, Ballantyne will be minimized.)
For the solution logos, we’d use a pictoral mark and the name of each solution division (Strong Entertainment Solutions, Strong Digital Media Solutions and Strong IT & Security Solutions)
For product Logos we’d apply the same strategy in the use of the pictoral mark and the name of each product division (Strong Digital Signage and Strong | MDI).
Solutions divisions include Entertainment (we provide digital projection, screens and services to the Cinema market), Digital Media (we provide digital signage solutions to Retail, Financial Services, Healthcare and Education markets) and IT & Security (we provide physical security (cameras and software systems) and data security solutions to fortune 1,000 companies). Product divisions include Screens (Imax, movie theater and home theater screens) and Digital Signage.
