Lanzarote ist eine Insel vulkanischen Ursprungs. Sie ist bekannt für gleichbleibendes Klima, Vulkan-Landschaften, Kunst und guten Wein. Ebenso besticht Lanzarote durch einfache Bauweise mit überwiegend kleinen, weißen Häusern und sehr wenigen großen Hotelbauten und Einkaufzentren. Zusätzlich zu Pauschalurlaubern gibt es viele Individualurlauber, Künstler und Sportler.
