Logo Design for New Software Holding Company
Check out davemartingray's Logo design contest…
What’s your company slogan?
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The business will be a “holding company” of multiple B2B software companies, which will be established by acquiring existing businesses and then operating them for the long term. The company and it's name is not tied to a specific industry vertical, and since it’s a holding company, the name will not be used to sell products to an end customer (think: Berkshire Hathaway, United Technologies, Adventur.es, IAC, etc.). The separate companies in the portfolio will have their own brands and product names. The company name, with its headquarters in downtown Birmingham, was derived by taking the first two letters of "Birmingham" and "Software." "Collective" is included based on the definition: "cooperative enterprise marked by similarity among the members of the group."
What colors do you want to see in your design?
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
As we launch and run the business, we will foster an amazing, healthy culture to engage an exceptional team with the goal of delivering extraordinary positive impact for our customers. We will have a true long-term perspective. We will not be focused on the next transaction or an exit. Instead, we will be focused on building something great and enduring, including having a meaningful impact on our region’s economic development. (Although we are headquartered in Birmingham and have a bias to the Southeast, this company will have national presence and reach, so we don't want to over-play the regional aspect.) We also intend to create an accelerator where members of this software "family" can leverage the experience, expertise, best practices and practical approaches of the “platform” to more successfully scale the various companies. As we are a software company, we want to have a modern logo that resonates with forward-thinking professionals, particularly with people under 40. I want it to project optimism and growth. If possible (but not absolutely required), I'd like options where I can use the logo with both "biso collective" and just "biso" on its own (i.e. drop "collective"). And of course, as this is a software company, it needs to look great on tshirts!
