First: "Ziegelei Quartier" means Brickyard Quarter. The brick factory district is a real estate development in a rural area. Approx. 100 apartments and a commercial area of approx. 3000m2 will be built. The core is an old 150-year-old brickyard Factory with its typical look – its a landmark for this village. (See pictures). In the factory itself there will also be new businesses such as a bar or shopping facilities. However, the house is under monument protection and we will remain the same from the outside. The desire now is to combine the modern with the classic. We need a logo witch combines the residents an the commercial zones. it is conceivable to split the logo as well. for example a business icon and a resident icon. and when the entire superstructure is addressed, the two logos complement each other. The quarter was designed by the architects Herzog and de Meuron. We need a logo that residents feel comfortable with and consumers want to shop with.
