GOAL OF THE LOGO:
Our core business has always been the taxi services. As we have expanded our business to also provide services within the tourism industry we have decided to rebrand our company to better reflect what we do and who we are today.
While the name of the company will remain as ‘inverness taxis’ the new logo will need to also reflect our link to the tourism in Inverness.
WHAT WE WANT:
We are looking for a fresh contemporary logo that will keep us connected to our local existing customers, hence the name remaining as ‘inverness taxis’, while also being attractive and exciting to tourists visiting the region.
We would like to incorporate an iconic easily recognisable image or shape into the logo to convey the tourism element.
Inverness is a historic city with some iconic scenery and architecture. We have attached an image of Inverness which we would like the contestants to use as inspiration.
As an example, the designers could incorporate the image of a bridge and river to form the logo together with the text ‘inverness taxis’.
• In terms of style, the logo should be friendly and welcoming while also expressing quality and sophistication.
• It should not look too corporate.
• Picking up from the heritage and historical elements of Inverness the logo could have a vintage feel to it, as long as it looks contemporary.
• A touch of fun and playfulness will be welcome.
In terms of colours, the final result needs to be contemporary. We would like to see the designers suggestions, but as starting point we recommend that the designers take inspiration from the vibrant and natural greens and blues of the vegetation and river as well as the warm colours of the architecture of Inverness and the Highlands.
