My name is Tuija Lehtinen and I am a wellbeing counsellor. I am coaching people to get balance in their life, get rid of stress, overweight, sicknesses caused by the wrong nutrition and unbalance between rest and sleep and physical, mental and spiritual dimensions. I use different kind of a tools, like Firstbeat Lifestyle Assessment (Firstbeat.com), which is a professional grade coaching tool for health and wellness. I am also using Neurosonic (Neurosonic.fi) low frequency treatments for balancing the overactive sympathetic nervous system of my customers. I am also giving mental coaching when needed as well as nutrition guidance and programs. I use systematic measurements methods like MDD tests (MDD.fi) which is representing https://www.gdx.net/ Genovatest in Finland, to measure the real state of customers health condition. I also send my customers (when needed) to take measurements somewhere else, like Inbody measurements to get the knowledge of the consistency of their body; the relation between the fat and muscles and make a program for them according the knowledge what this measurements offers.
People come to me from many different kind of a reasons. First I interview them thoroughly and almost in all the cases, I start with the stress relief programs and I give them few treatments to get rid of the stress and sleeping disorders. After that we start to find out what seems to be the real problems. Then I can suggest that we take some more tests, if it seems to me that there is still some physical disorder left. With different kind of a measurements together with the persons own feeling about her well being, we can slowly remove the barriers, which are inhibiting her/him own body to do the healing work. Sometimes this can be her mind, sometimes its about nutrition, sometimes it is some illness or disorder found with the tests, sometimes it is a question of overweight. Anyways after few appointments we can get to the nutrition program to support the body to do the healing by it self or that a person can start to loose a weight. I always "walk" with my customers until they get helped and start to be able to help themselves.
Good nutrition, feeling and being physically and mentally well, is the fuel for everything I do, and it is in these three I try to find my own balance everyday. This is what I want to give to other people also.
My mission is to inspire people for change their lifestyle, and maintain to lifestyle which is not only returning their health but also helping them to get more kicks out of their lives.
For me, life should not be a question of coping, but living. I see life as a precious gift which should be lived as fully as possible under every circumstances we live in. What comes to the circumstances; there is always some area we can improve on that.
One cell in our body can tell us how is our well being at the moment. By improving the function of one cell, we can improve the function of the whole system. Human body starts to repair it self, when given the right circumstances.
I see person as a biopsychosocial complex, combined with the spiritual dimensions, as well as a part of the biosphere. All five areas needs to be concerned, when trying to help individual to feel happy and balanced.
My belief-system is based on holistic medicine.
Holistic medicine is also based on the belief that unconditional love and support is the most powerful healer and a person is ultimately responsible for his or her own health and well-being. Other principles of holistic medicine include the following:
