A fresh logo for innovative BtoB IT management software (づ￣⌣￣)づ

We’re a 10 person French software startup. Our product name is “Rudder“. Rudder is professional configuration management software designed to automate computer (IT) servers configuration and improve reliability. With Rudder, system administrators define configuration rules and apply them on hundreds, even thousands of servers in one click. Rudder help companies with a lot of IT servers to reduce: - IT management complexity, - security breaches size and impact, - time consumed by everyday tasks The name "Rudder" comes from the ability to verify frequently that the configuration and security rules are still applied over time through continuous checking. If something is not compliant,, Rudder make it compliant again, like a captain on a boat, frequently checking he's still on course, and if not, turning the rudder wheel to keep going in the right direction because he doesn't want the boat to drift off course. In the past, we used the slogan "Drift assessment". We don’t use any slogan anymore, but the idea still fits. The main difference between Rudder and its competitors is the web interface and the built-in ready-to-use rules library. They make Rudder easy to use, even for non experts. Thanks to the web interface, we can display a lot of metrics and graphs to give IT managers an overview of the overall IT servers health status. Our clients are mostly big companies where IT is mission critical such as satellite operators, pharmaceutical industries, national banks, etc. Inside these companies, our contacts are half technical employees (mostly system administrators) - since they are the ones working on the IT servers - looking for efficiency and working comfort, and half managers (CTO, CIO, CISO) looking for a better compliance and metrics.

Rudder is an innovative tool for big companies. Our goal is to reconcile big companies technical / process inheritance with innovation and modern IT management approaches such as devops. So we want our logo to be fancy enough to be immediately identified as an innovativesolution, and serious enough to look trustworthy to companies where IT is mission critical. As we consider ourselves a clever company (no less! ^^), we would love to have a clever logos. We love what Google showed us when we typed “negative space logos“ because of all the nice creative ideas designers have found for these logos. We want our image to show our software’s high-quality, professionalism and reliability. We would like the logo to have a component that could be used as a standalone square icon, such as a website favicon or Twitter avatar.
