About us: We develop AI software to enable media and entertainment companies to deliver hyper-personalized content (e.g. music, audiobooks, podcast, games, ads) using context.
Core product and technology: Mobile software development kit that is embedded within existing mobile applications enabling services like Spotify, Pandora, and Deezer to act upon changes in user context in real-time. To do this, we use specialist on-device AI techniques and sensors in mobile devices to make high-level context predictions such as “commuting from work to the gym on a crowded bus”. Important to note that on-device AI is a very hot area of research because it facilitates super responsive user experiences while preserving user privacy as none of the sensor data needs to be sent to the cloud and all remains on the user's device.
Our vision: We want people to spend less time staring at their devices, and instead, enjoy and interact with the real-world while our devices do the work for us.

Why the name NumberEight: Sensors (and context in general) have infinite possibilities to make user experiences efficient and adaptive. Flip infinity on its side and you get the number 8. As it turns out, it is a very auspicious number.
