A Garden Fund seeks to invest in early-stage companies sourced from regional startups and corporations and involving knowhow or intellectual property that can be repurposed or renewed through the collaborative efforts of the regional early-stage ecosystem.
Garden Funds leverages city governments and universities having long-standing industry connections to source its deal flow. We participate in initial and follow-on funding rounds and provide oversight and mentorship to facilitate the rapid deployment of manufacturing and technology companies.
Garden Fund’s deep dive into existing intra-city relationships offers a progressive hands-on approach to commercialization. Our investment participation and mentorship services are tailored to align the needs of the collaborators: existing start-up or corporation, freelance development entrepreneur, subject matter expert, and mentor and/or student team.
Garden Funds opportunities are vetted through a rigorous, internal due diligence process. To the extent possible, our vetting process will harness intellectual property owned, licensed or otherwise controlled by the Principals (including real-options analysis, and social participation tools) to exploit market arbitrage opportunities and create unmatched investment opportunity for the investor.
