UPDATE: Please NO images of SHIELDS, LOCKS, OR KEYS/KEYHOLES.
We _do_ want creative interpretations of strength, simplicity and what it means to be 'core'.
It might help to think about the two constituent words in our name:
Iron is a symbol that has historically evoked the following: strong, durable, powerful, rigid, sturdy, robust.
Core means centrally important, critical, of deep importance.
You can play on themes of the metal + the notion of an actual core of an object. We are 'core' to an application's security needs.
Our logo/brand should convey feelings of security and trust, strength, piece of mind and easy-to-use/simplicity.
Our target customer is a forward thinking software developer building business applications. They'll typically be male, in their late twenties to late thirties, be located in the U.S., and have a college degree (likely in computer science).
We need a logo that this demographic finds cool yet professional enough that they can trust for their work.
Tech Logos we like include: Apple, Fedex, Oracle, VMware, 10gen, Tealeaf, Katasoft, or something with a clean font.
Non-Tech Logos we like include: Ironman, Tonka, or something with a similar font to Rockwell Extra Bold.
