MBus is built to be very general, to communicate any kind of digital data. The logo should be abstract enough to reflect this.
The target for MBus is very small devices, so the logo will not be on any physical products (e.g. cables). Rather it would be used more on the packaging (e.g. like Intel or AMD stickers on PCs) or advertising materials.
The most direct competitor was invented in 1982 (and its logo looks very dated, this is *not* the goal): http://www.logotypes101.com/logos/1…2c_Bus.png
I am not as committed to including the name in the logo, if it integrates well, great, otherwise something more abstract ( like USB: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped…on.svg.png ) makes a lot of sense to me.
Some features that could be interesting to try to incorporate: Please take these only as ideas to possibly incorporate, not requirements!
o MBus connects devices in a ring. Some form of loop, circle, closure, etc might makes sense
o MBus uses 4 wires to connect each device. 2 go to the device behind it in the ring, and 2 go to the device next in the ring
o MBus connects extremely small devices (just a millimeter on a side)
