Great work. Second project, perfect execution. All timely and with high degree of professional attitude. I will use BirdFish Designs again and can only recommend it.
FrogMented did a wonderful job with our logo. We weren't exactly sure what we wanted, and he helped us to figure it out. We went back and forth over the design a number of times, trying different ideas and in the end, the result is a logo we are very happy with. Great job.

Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Jarvissli is a software company that makes business productivity apps for traveling professionals. The app functions as a personal concierge/virtual assistant/personal organizer to put all of your agenda, itinerary, and contact information in one place along with easy access to files stored in the cloud. The logo should convey that the app takes away complexity to make life more manageable/harmonious.
UPDATE, UPDATE, UPDATE (see notes below for information on design vision): Jarvissli will compete against products similar to Siri & Google Now. It will interface with CRM systems such as Salesforce.com along with the cloud storage to solutions such as Dropbox & OneDrive. The focus of the logo should be on high performance and productivity while on the go, for business people with very full schedules who are working remotely. (These are people who wake up in a different hotel room everyday and need a reliable mechanism to help keep them organized and on schedule.)
The target is to sell the product directly to corporations (not consumers through the app stores) - so the logo needs to convey a level of business sophistication. Also, while the cloud technology is part of how the solution will be architecturally built, we don't want the logo to tie the logo to literally to the technical design of the solution. The use of a cloud to give a sense of travel is OK.
Think of Jarvissli like a technical version of a servant character - similar to Miss Moneypenny in James Bond or Alfred in Batman.

Logo types to explore

We are looking for a modern and hip design that conveys productivity, trust, and dependability.
We do not currently have a theme or mascot, so we are open to suggestions. However, one concept idea we have is to incorporate a brain or membrane feel to convey that Jarvissli remembers things so that the user does not have to keep track of everything. Another is to use a travel theme that conveys a busy person on the go. Our last idea was to incorporate a futuristic robotic look.
Lettering case is open to whatever fits with the design.
UPDATE: In addition to the themes above, the use of stylized 'J's has been attractive to us. Other thoughts are using a shield or a globe. We would also like to see more designs that have the Sci-Fi concept mentioned above - the idea is something that illustrates a digital breakdown, digital board, or number/letters alternatively or 3D display type of thing with modules floating around, and hands to navigate them. A design that gives the sense of making something complex simple.
