There should be a place that displays the number of "deals" made
(where an inventor and a funder came together).
There should be a small "How it works" section, with prompts to learn
more. Extra points if there is a way for an inventor to go to a follow
on "How it works" page that is different than the one for funders.
For the "How it works" section, the general idea is: Inventor submits
profiles stating the kind of work they are interested in, funders are
able to review inventor profiles, funder invests in the work of an
inventor, inventor receives payment from the site.
There should be a section describing the possibility to "Fund a
Friend" - a funder can specify that their funds go to a specific
inventor, and inventors can invite friends to invest.
There should be a section describing the possibility to "Self Fund" -
(note, this is a bit of a made up scenario for this particular site!
Remember, because our company is in stealth mode, this IdeaFunder site
is not really real. But the real site will have three aspects:
anonymous, friend, self. So I'm trying to represent that here:
anonymous funder, Fund a Friend, Self Fund). In this scenario, an
inventor can set aside money for the invention process, and then can
withdraw that money when the project is fully funded. This would give
other funders assurance that the inventor has a stake in the process.
