Problem/Solution Infographic for Overworked Workers' Comp Claims Adjusters

Story to tell in the infographic
Again, please see the attached documentation for full understanding, as some things are bold or red font to provide distinction and emphasis. Workers’ Compensation adjusters deal with a different level of complexity when compared to other types of insurance. More bills, more deadlines, more potential penalties and more people involved. Many adjusters struggle to close claims using systems that don’t fit their needs. But through all of this, their dedication to getting the injured worker healthy and back to work remains undaunted. Above- that will be our intro. We want you to stick to that copy. It should be featured somewhere at the top, or the beginning of the infographic so readers can hit that first and understand the problem. Maybe feature a claims adjuster who is sweating or looking overworked (obviously not too sweaty they’ll be in work clothes, not gym clothes), and start with the data about what they are hit with on a daily basis (the 130 claims that have all those things going on with them) What we’re going to do in the rest of the infographic is demonstrate how overworked a claims adjuster is, how they are spending time doing things they should not be doing (that our claims system can help), and what they really wish they could be doing. We want to reinforce the reasons they love their job, and working with their current system most adjusters can’t do the things they really love because they’re swamped with all this busy work that their claims system can’t handle. Ours can. We want that to be the overarching message, but not in such a blatant way. We want them mostly to remember how overworked they are and how there is an easier way. So stick Acrometis in their mind but don’t overwhelm them with it. Footer information Company logo CLAIMExpert Logo Message – “Your Workers’ Compensation Processing Platform” Icons (in style similar to rest of infographic) ToDo list icon – “Free Up 40% of Adjusters’ Day” 11% icon – “11 Points Medical Loss Improvement” 75% icon – “75% Auto-Adjudication” 50% icon – “Close medical claims 50% faster” “To learn more about CLAIMExpert and schedule a demo, visit www.Acrometis.com” Above- that’s what our boiler plate graphic is in words. So we are attaching the graphic but we want you to blend in the information featured into it in the rest of the infographic. The Acrometis, CLAIMExpert logo and the information from the boilerplate graphic should be at the bottom. Maybe you could write something like “infographic powered by….” Or “information provided by…”. Again, we want that to blend with the rest of the design so even though it’s company information they don’t just stop reading the infographic (you know how once you hit that boilerplate at the bottom of a press release you just stop reading?). We really want to emphasize the 75% auto-adjudication and closing claims 50% faster, because adjusters will see that as an immediate benefit and they aren’t the ones who are concerned about cost or whatever. Though we still want the rest of the information to be in there, in case the decision making executives are reading this infographic. This is our usual, press release boilerplate. This is just extra information, we’d rather you use the above statistics (11% medical loss, 75% auto adjudication, etc) as the footer. But if you want to use any of this information, it should be at the bottom of the infographic (and if you can get the links to actually be clickable that would be great). We want to position our Acrometis and CLAIMExpert logo around the boilerplate. But again, this shouldn’t be too big as to overwhelm them with our marketing. - Acrometis offers the most complete and automated claim processing platform designed specifically for the workers’ compensation industry. Acrometis’ CLAIMExpert® is a rules-based claim processing platform that deterministically routes claims documents and bills, allowing for meaningful changes to the claims processing environment that in turn leads to maximized cost savings, efficiency, and productivity gains over the lifecycle of a claim. For more information about Acrometis and the CLAIMExpert platform, please visit www.acrometis.com or call 855.282.1476. Beyond all the content is the design element. We do not want real life images, more of a sketch or drawing would look best. I’ve attached a few different infographics (completely unrelated content but we like their style). I think it’s best to break it up into sections like the infographics I provided, since it’s kind of a narrative data set, though if you can get it to flow together and still look nice that’s fine. Our Acrometis logo colors are : Kelly Green (PMS 361 R30 G181 B58 Hex #1EB53A) Royal Blue (PMS 286 R0 G56 B168 Hex #0038A8) As you can see in the attachments. Claimexpert’s logo is still green and blue but not as solid. Maybe a tan or oatmeal background and then incorporate softer hues of green, blue, and whatever other colors you see fit. Nothing too jarring but something still eye-catching and eye-popping. Our goal is that every workers’ compensation claims adjuster hangs a copy of this by their desk.
Data to include in the infographic
Please see attached document for full understanding (I've put some things in red font or bold to make a distinction but in this submission form that doesn't come through) For this data, the wording we have placed around it doesn’t have to be exactly as we have presented it. We mostly provided it so you (the artist) could get a better sense of where we are coming from and our reasons for including it. So the numbers are obviously important and there should be enough copy to explain it but you don’t need to make this as wordy as we have. Try to use your best judgment when deciding how much text to use. We’re trying to strike the balance between info and graphic, not 90% info and 10% graphic. We’re pretty flexible with the images you choose to correspond with the data, something fun that will resonate with the people reading it. - In the past two decades, the number of hospitals joining larger health systems (health systems have been making large IT investments) has increased from 38% to 62%. The point of this statistic is we are trying to point out that people are moving in the direction of IT investment and if your company is not, you are not going to remain competitive. Profile on an adjuster….(picture of an overwhelmed/overworked adjuster. Maybe showcase how they are juggling all of these things or thinking about it in a bunch of thought bubbles. Those are just ideas-we are open to your own interpretations) - Handles 130 open cases at a time - Each claim comes with at least 20 bills from 6 different providers, plus 20 additional supporting documents - 24% of submitted bills are incomplete, duplicate, or unrelated - There are 7,800 CPT codes used to describe different healthcare services (adjusters have to decide which to apply to the bill) - There are 13,000 ICD-9 (soon to be 68,000 ICD-10) diagnostic codes they can choose from - Each claim involves multiple CPT and ICD codes the claims adjuster has to keep track off as well A typical adjuster spends most of their time… - Following up with doctors and patients about medical visits (57%) - Tracking down medical documents (16%) - Sorting through and matching bills to their related case (16%) - Confirming jurisdictional regulations (6%) - Other work (5%) (if you can, find a more tasteful or discrete way to categorize “other”) If the proper technological changes are made in an organization, that could free up an adjusters day by more than 40 percent. Adjusters would use that extra time to… - Keep all parties involved in the case (claimants, employers, etc.) up to speed on how it is progressing (38%) - Review reserves more often to make sure they were appropriate and close where possible (26%) - Follow up with injured workers to make sure they are on track to get back to work (17%) - Remaining percentage would contact providers about recent visit to collect essential documentation or use the time in another beneficial manner Adjusters love their jobs. They love helping people. That’s why we want to help them. The top 3 requests from claims adjusters in order to do their job better- - The ability to electronically and rapidly communicate claim status to claimant, attorney and internal constituents - Detailed claim information enabling you to see every action taken in the claim archived and retrieved electronically at your desktop whenever you wish - Electronic referrals at your desktop including confirmation of scheduling and calendar notification
Elements to include in the infographic
We need the Acrometis logo and CLAIMExpert logo, somewhere near the bottom along with our boilerplate graphic (we have attached images and please refer to the next question to see what the boilerplate consists of). We’ll also need the intro copy exactly as we have provided for you and we want the boilerplate graphic to match with the rest of the design of the infographic. So use the information provided in the boilerplate graphic, but make sure it blends.
Our goal is that every workers’ compensation claims adjuster hangs a copy of this by their desk.
