There are three sources of software code that are independent of each other but come together to build a product that may or may not be safe and secure. Like putting together a meal, if one or two ingredients are off, the whole meal could be spoiled.
The infographic can play on this by showing three different routes into the product (say: roads, manufacturing lines, network topology, etc.) with the stats and quotes along each route. These stats and quotes build up a case that there's a real chance the product could be flawed, with an insecure end product as the result.
We offer five solutions to prevent these issues, a combination of goals and actions to prevent code security issues before the product even gets built. The last solution links to an online questionnaire called the Secure Supplier Checklist (http://www.roguewave.com/programs/s…-checklist) which provides security solutions specific to the user.
The truths, quotes, and stats (see attached document) could be identified with unique iconography and colors, with the percentage stats shown as partially filled symbols or groups of symbols that reflect the stat.
We would also need to include our corporate logo and you can see our particular branding style at http://www.roguewave.com.
