k.hulec got their new infographic by running a design contest:
Givvr.me - Engaging graphical introduction to a new tipping platform
Check out k.hulec's Infographic contest…
Story to tell in the infographic
An engaging graphical introduction to four main areas/subjects of the Givvr application. Each subject in a separate horizontal content block to be put on our landing webpage (layout mockup at http://givvr.me/alpha/), consisting of Infographics/illustrations and 3-4 sentences on the subject. We really like the graphics used in an explanatory video about the Bitcoin technology: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gc2en3nHxA4. This kind of iconic graphics with people characters might work great for us too. The result could even be more colorful and/or modern, according to your taste. Keep in mind that the exact wording of the section texts is yet to be finalized. Please consider all texts to be placeholders and make them editable. Area of interest / subjects / placeholder texts: 1) Givv - You tip (Givv to) content creators, support them, and if they are successful, you get a share in return. Be nice and appreciate others while getting money in the process. 2) Seed - Get money for content you make and publish. Enjoy free promotion on the Givvr platform. Use that money for a nice vacation or buy gear and hire people for the next big content you are working on. 3) Content - Video, picture, article, app, tweet etc. All supported by the Givvr platform. We are social network for free content. A content network. Go trough the list of the hottest content out there directly in-app. 4) Technology - Peer to peer (P2P) technology, Open Source, no central point, no need to trust a central party, quick, no or low fees, anonymous. Each block should also have a "miniblock" in the landing page top navigation bar. Right now displayed as 4 small rectangles (blue, pink, green, yellow) on the mockup design page (http://givvr.me/alpha/ ). Miniblocks get gradually minimalized on scrolling the page down (try it :) ). The content in them should be able to react meaningfully to the size change. (It shall look good when scaled down or cropped.) In the future, the graphics / images will be animated and used in an explanatory video. We might make use of the vector source files to accomplish this if you provide them. The animation is not a task for this contest though.
There is logo and application gui attached for you to have idea about project design language so far. About the fonts, we use two right now. Quicksand Bold in menu http://www.google.com/fonts/specimen/Quicksand Gotham Pro for text Gotham Pro Medium for buttons http://www.cufonfonts.com/cs/search/gotham%20pro Of course, the font selection is just what we went for in the App. The website/graphics itself should be visually diferent, so using an other font should be ok too. It's mostly up to your taste in the end.
