sam.a got their new infographic by running a design contest:
Create a PHP 7 Performance Infographic for Zend and PHP Developers

Story to tell in the infographic
PHP 7 (the newest version of PHP that will be released later this year) is superior to 5.6 and HHVM on most popular applications and frameworks. Background - not for infographic: Some see the current and older versions of PHP as a slower way to run web applications. This infographic will speak to the fact that the upcoming version, PHP 7, will be faster than anything they've ever seen.
Data to include in the infographic
The 1st item contains factoids we'd like spaced out in the infographic. We were thinking the top would be one of the benchmark result charts (see next paragraph), and a line taking the reader from the top to the bottom, meandering through the different benchmarks, and there are clouds or some kind of call outs that have these factoids along the way. Some of the factoids are general, and some are related to the specific Applications/Frameworks benchmark results that PHP 7 was tested on. For 2 of the factoids that are very technical, we've provided a title that could be used, and the factoid below it. The others don't need titles as they stand on their own. The 2nd item shows the results of benchmark testing of how fast web applications run on the the older PHP (5.6) vs HHMV (owned by Facebook) and PHP 7. We assumed that each of these results would be its own chart, and be the main feature of the infographic.. Charts and their corresponding logos (WordPress, Drupal, etc). The results are requests per second, and there are also 2 columns showing the % gain. Not required to use these 2 columns, but if helpful, feel free to use. The 'use-case' is a way to separate the applications if you want to create different sections in the infographic. The Name of the test could be used as a footnote. We've provided a sample chart so you can see how we would likely see charts used in the infographic, but feel free to embellish. The 3rd item is a separate chart showing other languages, and how PHP 7 performs faster than a selection of languages. not sure if we'll want to include this or not. We will likely update a few of the numbers, and you'll see a few X,Y used in the factoids. We'll get you these numbers.
Elements to include in the infographic
I think the charts should be bar charts. Also, at the end of the infographic, we want a pitch to get people to join us at our annual PHP conference: ZendCon 2015, where we'll have training sessions and best practices on PHP 7, etc. Click here to register.
Want to have a clean design for this. You can see our php7.zend.com for our current PHP 7 look and feel, though this infographic doesn't need to match that. You can also see on that page a link to the previous infographic we did (using Piktocharts) for PHP 7. Title:PHP 7: Turbocharging PHP Applications Subtitle:The Zend Engine performance team provides insight into the upcoming impact of PHP 7 Potential intro blurb: We have run performance benchmarks using jmeter and popular PHP applications to compare PHP 5.6, PHP 7 and HHVM 3.7 Please use the full logos of the applications, such as: - Drupal: http://rushmediastudios.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/drupal-logo-rush.png - WordPress: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/2/20/WordPress_logo.svg/2000px-WordPress_logo.svg.png
