Gene42 is a medical software company that produces solutions which aid in the assessment and diagnosis workflow of genetics professionals -- those who assess health/disease using DNA, the four letter bases that all living things are made up of.
Our target audience includes a wide range of health professionals such as: genetic counsellors, lab assistants, researchers, nurses, geneticists, neurologists, and other various kinds of specialized physicians.
The end users typically work with patients that are children suffering from diseases which are difficult to detect, meaning they are often undiagnosed. Undiagnosed diseases causes a lot of pain to families because it is not possible to determine an appropriate/optimal treatment without knowing what the disease is. Gene42 is seeking to alleviate this by providing a software solution which allows for the effective and precise assessment of a patients' unique profile.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We would like two illustrations created for Gene42's website landing page (Illustration #1 and #2 in the skeleton attached below). The content and message of the images should correspond to the text content in the sections they are located in. Please read the content in the sections ("The Problem" and "The Solution") in order to determine what graphics would be suitable there. There is plenty of room to be creative with this.
- These images should express that we work at the intersection of technology & medicine.
- In terms of style and mood, we would like it to be science-y and professional.
- We like line art but are open to different styles!
- Please look at our current website for ideas on theme and feel: http://gene42.com and http://gene42.com/products/phenotips
