We need a high quality graphic that is to be used as part of a figure for a research paper in a scientific journal. Briefly, the graphic should contain an 3D representation of the flu virus cell with a cut-out of the cell wall showing inside the cell. A chain of RNA should extend from within the cell.
Some examples of similar drawings of the required flu virus are attached. The exact structure of the virus is not too important and we are happy for you to be inspired by images from e.g. relevant google searches. The virus should be a roughly spherical shape with an interior showing exactly 8 strands of RNA. We do not want the diagram to be labelled.
RNA strands look like one half of the DNA double helix (see some of the attached RNA drawings). Each strand should consist of a long coiled band with nodes of four different colours extending at right angles to the main band. The colours of each node should be random. One of the 8 strands of RNA should extend out of the cell and become more zoomed in. This strand should unravel so that at least the final five nodes point upwards. These final 5 nodes should be labelled (in order of furthest from flu cell): A, G, C, A, A. The colours of these nodes should be consistent with the labels.
We also attach a drawing giving the suggested layout of the graphic, although this is just to give an idea and can be altered. Please feel free to be creative about the design as well, the general idea is to have a flu virus with one of eight RNA strands extending out of it.
