Healthcare Blocks is a cloud-based application platform, designed to eliminate the burden of infrastructure management and system maintenance so that healthcare technology organizations can focus on product development. Our specially-designed technology automates and enforces many of the requirements mandated under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), enabling developers and engineers to focus on features and functionality, rather than regulatory compliance.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We want a new design representation of our hosting platform. We want our new platform design to have more depth, originality, and elegance. We also want it to jump out and be memorable. We are trying to make a digital thing (an application hosting platform) that you can't see, be represented in the physical, visual world. We want the design to be consistent with our branding. Our current design which lacks these features can be found here: https://www.healthcareblocks.com/pl…m/overview I have also attached the .psd file for this particular design. Our web designer threw this together so that we'd have something for the site, but now it is time to do it for real.
Ideas/recommendations: 3d blocks are a good place to start, as our name “Healthcare Blocks” means that we are the foundation or "building blocks" for healthcare technology. An idea we have is using our logo (or something like it) as the middle portion of this design and build blocks around it that match the organization of our current design. I have attached the .psd file of our logo.
Our current design is valid from an organizational and copy perspective. One of the main issues we are running into conceptually is how to fit in all the copy into the design without it feeling like a bunch of copy.
If you go to our competitors sites, https://www.aptible.com/ and https://catalyze.io/stratum you can see that they have a very professional (oddly similar) platform design that matches our criteria. Both are good examples of depth, complexity and professional design characteristics that we are looking for. But we would like the design be dissimilar to them, but rather match the professionalism.
Feel free to be creative. Even though I presented an idea that is not what we should necessarily go with. Feel free to design something unique. As long as it matches our brand, has lots of depth, and matches the building blocks, and or foundation metaphor it should work.
Please look at our competitor's platform designs. It needs to meet or exceed the professionalism, but be dissimilar and consistent with our branding and copy.
