What's your vision?
I am looking to have a comic strip created to show a comparison between a new service offering and grocery shopping. The comic strip will have 8 total tiles (4 on top to show the story of grocery shopping and then the corresponding 4 that are showcasing how the idea of grocery shopping is similar to our service offering). The artist has creative reign on design itself , it just needs to tell a story and the lay needs to be in a comic strip type layout. The Grocery shopping tiles/principles would be the following: 1. You take inventory of what you have at home in your fridge/pantry before going to the store. 2. Based off this inventory of food you put together your list for the store. Keeping in mind what you need for the week, buy based on the family size, and considering special holidays such as Christmas or an upcoming vacation. These factors play into what buy and how much 3. Now you are at the store and you need to: a. Stick to your shopping list b. Put what you need in your basket to stay on budget c. Use coupons and look for the best deals d. Avoid putting extra items in your cart 4. Once you have all you items at the store you need to make sure that you use them before they expire. You need to: a. Have a meal plan b. Ensure you are using the food before it expires c. Consume or care for the food so it does not go bad or rot The IT tiles to mirror the grocery store would be: 1. The same principle applies to your assets, you need to understand what you have to leverage against future investments. You need to inventory your software assets to know what you already have to see what you need and what already have. 2. Based off your software inventory the demand factors you need to consider are: a. Is the business is growing? b. Cloud Strategies and opportunities? c. User demands and profiling? d. The overall roadmap and deployment plans? These factors determine how you manage your current software assets and how you purchase for the future in your organization. 3. Once you know what you have installed you need to: a. Understand what you need against your architecture b. Look at payment models c. Find the best deals while avoiding extra costs 4. For software, you need to make sure that you are: a. Recording what you have b. Ensuring that it is deployed and utilized c. Taking the proper measures for compliance d. Protecting the business against risks such as an audit or system failure to the product life cycles
