This is our first search for a mascotte, and generally speaking, also the first time we really focus on marketing! We never advertised our activity, as our customers created a word of mouth effect, giving us the lucky opportunity to work on a selection of very interesting projects. Now, as we extended the range of services we can offer, we are aware image will be important to conquer new customers (and to remember to our existing ones we are ready to explore new solutions with them!). With this purpose in mind, we are creating a dedicated internet site for Sysplorer (as said, born as a kind of "Explorer of Systems"), and we are looking for a mascotte whose function will be to guide our visitors and customers during the discovery of our world of services and products.
We are open to different kinds of mascotte (be it animals, robots or else, as we loved many of the ones we saw on this site), as far as mascotte's personality will help in reflecting and/or emphasizing our message. We are looking for some examples with different emotional states (we would use them depending on the situations the mascotte will be into).
In order to define the mascotte’s personality/image, we add some hint about “how” some customers see us and how we aim to be considered. Of course, we do not look for a selfish mascotte “bragging” about ALL this, but it would be nice to “catch” some of these points. As far as many of our satisfied customers said, our main strengths turned out to be, in time:
¥ consolidated technical expertise;
¥ intention and capability to simplify complex situations/procedures/solutions for our customers
¥ curiosity/enthusiasm for “new solutions”;
¥ capability to conceive and deliver tailor made and “out of the box” solutions. This is where consulting activities integrate with technical expertise. In our sector some technicians may tend to propose solutions they already are comfortable with and are less keen to discover new ways to solve their customers’ issues, whilst some consultants have a higher level of creativity, but are often less skilled under a technical/operational point of view to make them happen.
¥ reactivity and proactivity in finding/proposing action plans; we consider ourselves more as business partners, than as suppliers.
¥ integrity and reliability: they appreciated the fact we did not just propose a solution convenient for us, but looked for the solution that would be best for their own context, even if less profitable for us in the short run.
¥ also, they appreciate our intent to preserve some fun/warmth along with our professionalism, in a sometimes “boring” and/or “cold” sector of activity
