Prepper Herbal Gardening
Red Brick Publishers
I was born in Africa and educated in Canada. Being forced to emigrate from Equatorial Africa to the far North of Canada, was a shock to the system. On finishing my schooling, and losing my job in another recession, in the spirit of adventure, I returned to Africa. I lived in Africa for 25 years, until Zimbabwe started to come apart under Robert Mugabe, which again, forced my return to Canada. As the medications I needed were not always available in Africa, I expanded my knowledge to include vitamins, minerals, and most importantly, herbs.
My Book is a beginner guide to growing and preparing herbs for use in first aid situations, This ia geared to a Prepper mentality, because who knows when infratructures are going to fall apart
Readers are either male or female. There is nothing about gardening that makes it inherently female or masculine. Readers are from the 30s to 50s age group They come from any cultural background. Prepper herbal gardening can be done by anyone. Readers have family members who are taking synthetic medicine for illnesses and maintenance. Readers are employed and have stable jobs, while others are self-employed. Some readers are financially well off. They have the financial capacity to fund the capital for their garden. However, others have financial struggles due to the high costs of pharmaceutical medicines. They are worried about the future. What if an unprecedented crisis is going to happen again? They want to be self-reliant and prepare for the worst. Readers are angry at various things, including the lack of government support and initiative for promoting self-sufficient living and other people for turning a blind eye to what’s currently happening. Ensuring that their families are going to survive any future crisis gives readers hope. They find peace and calmness in the fact that they will have food, medicine, and other supplies without relying on commercial sources in the future. Readers want to live a self-sufficient life with their families. They look up to individuals who have successfully mastered the art and science of self-sufficient living. These include people who are not afraid to live off-grid. Their enemies include complacent people who put their blind trust in the system and the government itself for the laws and mandates prioritizing capitalism over the welfare of the citizens. They want to prove to everyone that being prepared is better than being sorry later. Readers will be positively affected by changes in the political and commercial landscape that gears toward prioritizing wellbeing and welfare over revenues. Additionally, they will be negatively affected should the current trend (collapse) continue. Readers spend time on social media and prepper/herbal gardening websites or blogs such as The Prepared, Be Prepared, and Chestnut Herbs. They also frequent current event websites to be updated on what’s happening. Most readers distrust the government and established systems; therefore, they feel compelled to prepare themselves and their families for the worst events to come. They’re disappointed by authorities and want to live outside the system if they could.
8,5 x 11; font Georgia(you can experiment, I'm not locked in); I would like a colour tie in between font and illustration, can be graded. Simplicity in design, Modern to retro depends on the illustration; casual, these are Preppers; Loud/Quiet, how about Strong? Literal/Abstract, surprise me.
What to avoid
I dislike busy; stock images?... show me something different I would prefer illustration; otherwise I'm open to suggestion
