We need a user interface design for our latest iPhone messaging application called Jiffygram!
Jiffygram allows you to select a card from our smooth-scrolling gallery and send it to a friend in just three touches. Selecting the card is fun and so is creating the personalized message.
We are looking for a vintage design theme that is inspired by the ideas behind the age-old TELEGRAM messaging system and old school wireless communication. We have attached some images that we have found inspiring ... the rest is up to you!
The most important view in our app is the GALLERY view. We are hoping for some cool ideas on how to make a grid of cards look like it is coming from a retro telegram office. Some ideas are ornamentation, old wood motifs, wrought iron, rivets, etc.
After selecting a card, the user can EDIT the message, PREVIEW the card, and then SEND the message via email. In these last three screens, the primary focus is on the card itself. However we would still like to have some TELEGRAM theming in the navigation bar, the background behind the card, and perhaps even a "frame" for the card content.
Of course if you have other ideas we would like to see them! You are free to move around buttons, UI elements, etc and even make up new screens if you are inspired.
Thanks for entering our contest and have fun with it!
